The clinical practice of Endodontics involves protection of the dental pulp which supplies sensational feedback during normal functions like chewing, as well as the preservation of the tooth even when the dental pulp becomes injured due to tooth decay. A root canal treatment refers to the removal of the injured dental pulp and filling the space it occupied with a biocompatible dental material. Through treatment of the dental pulp, our patients continue to enjoy the benefits of having their natural teeth for function and aesthetics.
Endodontists in NUCOHS have received postgraduate training in the field, in addition to their basic dental degree. Our clinicians are actively involved in providing care to patients, educating our future dentists and pushing the boundaries of therapy through research.
Treatments offered by our specialty include: -
• Pulp protection treatment
