Urgent Care Clinic

The NUCOHS Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) provides care for patients with serious acute dental, oral and maxillofacial emergencies.

Conditions Managed at UCC
Dental trauma (avulsion, luxation or fractured teeth)
Soft tissue trauma (intraoral and extraoral lacerations)
Maxillofacial trauma (jaw or facial fractures)
Active or uncontrolled oral bleeding
Acute infection (orofacial cellulitis or abscesses)
Failed dental extraction or extraction-related complications
Severe acute dental pain (pain score 7 out of 10 or higher)
Conditions not listed above will be assessed on a case-by-case basis 

What to Expect
You will be assessed by our dental officers.
Only urgent conditions will be managed at the UCC.
Patients requiring further treatment may be referred for a follow-up appointment.
 
Walk-in Attendance Fee
With effect from 1 September 2026, a fee of $128.60, excluding GST, is payable for all walk-in patients without an appointment. Fee includes:
Consultation
Examination and diagnosis
Standard consumables
Additional investigations, procedures, medications and treatments will be charged separately.

Waiting Time
Patients are seen according to the urgency of their condition. As acute emergencies are prioritised, waiting times may be longer than usual.
