Biosketch

Dr Timothy Sng graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2017. As a recipient of the NUS Faculty of Dentistry Academia Talent Development Programme (ADTP) Award, he pursued specialist training under the NUS oral & maxillofacial residency programme in 2020. He obtained his Master of Dental Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) in 2023 and subsequently completed his advanced surgical training, attaining specialist accreditation in 2025.

Dr Sng’s area of clinical and research interests include temporomandibular joint disorders, orthognathic surgical correction of dentofacial deformities and paediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery. Committed to advancing his surgical expertise, he has actively participated in regional and international courses, externships and completed a fellowship at the Peking University School of Stomatology under the AO CMF (Asia Pacific) Fellowship Programme in 2024.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Sng is actively involved in undergraduate & post-graduate teaching. He also serves as the curriculum coordinator for the oral & maxillofacial surgery undergraduate module for NUS Faculty of Dentistry. Dr Sng has presented his research and delivered lectures at local, regional and international meetings, reflecting his ongoing engagement in academic surgery & education.
