Dr Lim Li Zhen is an Associate Consultant at the National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS) and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore (NUS). She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from NUS in 2010, where she was the recipient of multiple academic awards, including the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal and Tratman Medal for the best graduate throughout the course of study and the most distinguished graduate in Dentistry for the year.
In 2014, she received the NUS-Overseas Graduate Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (OMR) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon graduating in 2017, she was the first Singaporean to complete a full-time 3-year residency program in OMR. She received her board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2018.
Her current scope of work at NUCOHS includes reporting cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans, providing radiological consults, and advising on optimal radiologic workflows and architecture for dental digital radiologic services for dental care centres across the NUHS cluster.
She is also active in teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate dental programmes at FOD, NUS. Her research interests include the diagnostic efficacy of 3-D digital imaging including Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), radiographic presentations of maxillofacial pathology, and technology in education.
